The Walter Tigers Tübingen (formerly SV 03 Tübingen) is a basketball team from Tübingen, a college town in central Baden-Württemberg, Germany, playing in the Basketball Bundesliga, the country's top league.
The team is affiliated with SV 03 Tübingen, a sports club founded in 1903. 2003, the name "Tigers" or "Walter Tigers" was chosen for the basketball team after the local Tübingen company Walter AG, a tool manufacturer, became the team's sponsor.
Walter Tigers play their home games at the Paul-Horn-Arena (capacity 3,132 people).
In 1992/93, SV 03 were members of the Bundesliga for the first time, but didn't manage to escape relegation; a second one-season stint followed in 2001/02. The 2011/12 season is Tübingens eighth consecutive season in the top flight; they never succeeded in reaching the play-offs, mostly fighting relegation in the 18-team Bundesliga.
